Lake Christine Flash Flood Warning - Basalt

This is a notification from PitkinAlert:

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Basalt Mountain area. Please take necessary precautions. At 447 PM MDT, Until 745 PM MDT Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Lake Christine Fire. Storms west moving east southwest at 20 mph. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Basalt, Emma and El Jebel and the Lake Christine Burn Scar. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Roaring Fork Drainage. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. This includes Colorado 82 between mile markers 19 and 21. Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry areas is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas. D13/D15
